Saakshar Educational Trust (SET) desires to be the cause of literacy, learning as well as knowledge, and through your donated books seek to reach out the needy and provide free books to them all across India. While, stereotypically, Indian parents seem to be very ambitious when it comes to their kids’ education, statistically many of them from the marginalized sections, economically backward class and lower middle-class struggle with a lot of financial constraints when it comes to spending on their kids’ education. This has been all the more prevalent post-pandemic after people have lost their jobs and source of income.

So, when you donate books preferably textbooks, the old books that your children have read, re-read and used, we pass it on to the needy, deserving and together WE (you and us) make a difference in people’s lives.

Sometimes, all a child needs is a BOOK to make the real change and we along with your resourceful donation also aspire to give out free books to underprivileged, marginalized and deprived communities across India through our literacy programs, foundational course and other social initiatives. Going forward, Saakshar Education Trust (SET) also aspires to come up with its own library where students can avail all types of books especially textbooks from primary level to higher level of education. Often students want to continue their higher studies, prepare for the next level but the financial constraints they face in their family hinders their growth story and plays a spoilsport when it comes to chasing their dreams, goals and ambitions.

We at Saakshar Educational Trust (SET) understand the pain of deserving children who wish to transform their world through education but are somehow stuck because of their financial condition. And with your help we would not just want to empathize with them, but give them the much-needed wings despite their economic and social background.

So, when you donate study material used to prepare for competitive exams like NEET, UGC-NET, CSR-NET, JEE or government jobs like UPSC, CDS, SSC, we pass on to the needy, deserving and together WE (you and us) make a difference in people’s lives.
