Registered under the Trust Act, Government of India, Saakshar Educational Trust (SET) is a national nonprofit that works for empowering and upliftment of the future of India i.e., the children and youth of today! The education trust works and function to bridge education and opportunity gaps that disproportionately affect the students from low-income families and those from remote areas.

Through research, provision and advocacy, SET strives to bring equity in education from preschool to college to higher education – increasing the access to education via various educational programs, especially for historically underserved students. And at the same time bring diverse communities together to work and act upon education equity while increasing political, social and public ‘will’ to act on Right to Education and Quality Education for all.

Our Core Beliefs

We believe in the right to education and education for all as we have immense faith in the power to education to bridge the society gaps that separate underprivileged as well as students from low-income backgrounds from other young Indians. We believe schools and educational programs when organized appropriately can literally help every student master the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and live a successful life. We believe if every child in India is educated and get a support to an inclusive learning ecosystem, we as a nation will not only have a bright future, but also the strength and means to empower India.
