Women Empowerment Training

The women empowerment training program at Saakshar Educational Trust (SET) intends to support, assist and back underprivileged women and women from marginalized communities on economic grounds living in rural parts, semi-urban areas and urban slums of India.

Endeavoring towards the gate of opportunities, Saakshar Educational Trust organizes free skill development workshops covering tailoring, stitching, home decors, hand embroidery, painting, and so on. Through women empowerment training programs and skill development workshops, we try to enhance the skills of women of all age, living either in poverty or is in desperate need of earning a livelihood for themselves and their family.

The idea and objectives are to enable women from across regions, communities and culture too stand on their own feet.

Under the training program, Saakshar Educational Trust aspires to create a happy resourceful environment for various families as empowering a woman is empowering a family and thereby empowering our nation.

In its first year, Saakshar Educational Trust went on to provide a free 2-month Tailoring and Stitching course to 55 women in Rampur District of Uttar Pradesh, enabling them to either start their own shops, service center from home and earn a decent livelihood from their new learned skill.
